Tokki Talk Community Standards
Effective date: September 19, 2026
Last updated: September 19, 2026
Standards version: 2026-09-19.1
Tokki Talk is a place to learn Korean, practice respectfully, and collaborate with people you choose. These Community Standards apply to shared lists, sentences, list names, invitations, collaborator profiles, and other content or conduct that another Tokki Talk user can encounter.
Shared lists are invitation-only, but the same standards apply in private and invite-only spaces. The person who created a list does not have permission to harass others or share unlawful or abusive material.
1. Treat people with respect
Do not use Tokki Talk to:
- harass, bully, threaten, stalk, shame, or intimidate another person;
- target a person or group with hateful or dehumanizing content based on a protected characteristic;
- encourage violence, suicide, self-harm, or dangerous conduct;
- impersonate another person or organization in a deceptive way; or
- retaliate against someone for leaving a list, blocking an account, or making a good-faith report.
2. Protect minors and personal safety
Never use Tokki Talk to sexualize, exploit, groom, or endanger a minor; solicit a minor's sexual or private information; or create, request, possess, or share child sexual abuse material. We may report apparent child exploitation or a credible threat of serious harm to the appropriate authorities as required or permitted by law.
Do not share another person's home address, precise location, passwords, financial credentials, government identifiers, private communications, or other sensitive information without lawful permission.
Tokki Talk is not an emergency service. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
3. Keep shared content lawful and appropriate
Do not share content that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or intended to facilitate a crime;
- is sexually explicit, exploitative, or seriously violent or graphic;
- infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or another person's rights;
- contains malware, phishing, credential theft, or instructions intended to compromise a device or account; or
- is spam, an unauthorized commercial promotion, or a deceptive invitation.
Language-learning examples may discuss mature topics in an educational and non-exploitative way, but an educational label does not excuse abuse or illegal content.
4. Use collaboration controls responsibly
Invite only people you intend to collaborate with. Do not repeatedly invite a person who has declined, left, or blocked you. List owners and editors must not use permissions to erase another person's work maliciously or to evade a moderation action.
You may leave a shared list. Depending on your role, you may also remove a collaborator. Leaving or removing someone does not delete copies that another person made outside Tokki Talk.
5. Reporting and blocking
If content or conduct appears to violate these standards, use the in-app Report action when available. Include only the information needed to explain the issue. You may also report a concern at support@tokki.talk.
Blocking is intended to prevent the blocked account from inviting you or interacting with you through collaborative features. A block does not by itself decide whether content violates these standards; you should also report content that may require review.
Do not knowingly make false or abusive reports. A good-faith report will not violate these standards merely because we ultimately take no action.
6. How we enforce these standards
Shared content is invitation-only. We do not rely on an automated pre-publication filter for shared content. We may investigate reported concerns and, depending on the context, severity, and history, may:
- limit the visibility or sharing of content;
- remove content, an invitation, or a collaborator;
- warn an account or restrict a collaborative feature;
- temporarily suspend or permanently terminate an account; or
- preserve information or report conduct when required or permitted by law.
We aim to review user reports promptly, with priority for credible threats, child-safety concerns, and exposure of highly sensitive information. We may not be able to tell a reporter every detail of an investigation or action because of privacy, safety, or legal constraints.
Context matters. We may decline to act where a report does not establish a violation, and we may take action without a prior warning where needed to protect users or the Service.
7. Appeals
If we restrict content or an account and you believe we made a mistake, email support@tokki.talk with the subject “Community Standards Appeal.” Include the affected account or content and why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. A person who made the original decision should not be the sole reviewer of an appeal where reasonably practicable.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these standards as collaborative features and safety needs change. We will update the date and version above and provide notice appropriate to a material change.
